THE BLUE JEANS

THE BLUE JEANS

Today I have a story for you about denim.

For the longest time I preferred black high waisted skinny jeans.  My taste used to be super minimal and if you looked you could only find black, white and grey in my wardrobe.

This phase lasted for a few years and then last summer came along. In the course of a few weeks I bought 3 pairs of blue jeans. Just like that...I was converted forever. Now I can't even imagine not owning more pairs.

I have to admit though it's not just about the colour It's about the cut. The cut of these jeans is the main aspect that got me converted. High waisted straight cut jeans. Lot of stores call these mom jeans or girlfriend jeans.

High waisted jeans have been my go to style for years. Side note - my absolute pet peeve is when women squat down in public to get something from the floor and their ass just hangs out of their jeans/pants. Back to jeans - I just like how they elongate my legs, because unfortunately my sister has the long legs gene in the family not me,  I'd do everything I could to make mine longer.  But I realised after all those years of squeezing my ass into skinny jeans that I just didn't feel comfortable wearing them.

Straight cut jeans on the other hand are so comfortable. They are a lot roomier, meaning the circulation in your legs won't be something you'll have to think about daily,  but still super flattering. They still hug your best parts but they are not baggy like boyfriend jeans are.

Ok, I'll stop now before I bore you to death with my super important ramble on jeans.

I'm wearing: & Other Stories coat (different colour here); Nanushka jumper; H&M TREND jeans and bag (old); Pull&Bear sneakers (old).
